Organization serving the needs of at risk children
The mission of ASLAN Youth Ministries is, through God's love, to impact the hearts and minds of at risk children in America and in Haiti. Our name, ASLAN, is taken from the ever-popular book series, The Chronicles of Narnia, by C.S. Lewis. Founded in 1975 in the Greater Red Bank area, Aslan has a rich 39-year history of service to urban youth through: one-on-one tutoring & mentoring; values-based classes rooted in Judeo-Christian principles; recreation and enrichment programs designed to challenge children to break out of difficult environments and overcome negative circumstances. Beginning with 5-year-old children and eventually reaching into adulthood, Aslan is committed to providing each child with individualized attention, love and care. Aslan serves 175 children in the greater Red Bank area, Long Branch and in Asbury Park/Neptune. Additionally Aslan serves 200 children in L'Acajou, Haiti, West Indies.
Aslan is volunteer driven, from our successful math and reading tutoring program to our values-based Christian education programs. Please call our office at 732-741-7824 and visit our website to see the many ways individuals and organizations partner with us to help our children through volunteering.
